Multiple Show Winning, "VolksWorld Magazine Cover Car" 1962 Volkswagen Karmann Coachwerks Convertible, in Pristine near Concourse Condition, Painted in stock VW Convertible 151-152 only L 398 pacific! Paint is still in Great shape! Interior is a all matching heavy duty Tweed material, and is in immaculate condition! Glove box and hood relics, are both locking as it should be with a convertible. Has stock radio, but the real booming 2 amplifiers multiple speaker and 10" sub woofer set up is in the custom glove box, housing a removable face modern CD/stereo along with 2 VDO chrome gauges, one to monitor the oil pressure and the other to keep a eye on the oil temp. Your probably wondering, why the gauges? Well there is no stock 1200 pushing this rig down the road....no sir, strap on the Wolfsberg crested seat belts folks, cuz this baby scoots along the highway, powered buy a EXTREMELY RACE BALANCED 1915cc Duel 40 Dellorto carburetors with a 120 cam and high flow heads, that revs to the moon! Has a great exhaust note with it's 1 5/8" FAT BOB silver ceramic coated exhaust system. The top is "Tan" Stay Fast Canvas material, and looks like a million bucks!! It's padded on the inside, and has a color matching mole hair head liner. The carpet I believe is German Square weave and is in a Oatmeal color. The interior is just amazing, remarkable, breath taking, awesome, immaculate, no matter how you want to describe it, it just stops people in there tracks....literally!! The total mileage is 5,942 since it was restored.....As shown on the odometer... This Vert was the VolksWorld cover car back in Feb. 2003 (and comes with that issue) It's a multiple show winner, and is in immaculate condition. Always kept in a heated garage and covered, along with my other show cars. Bought it for the wife, but it was a low rider, Her not understanding how to dodge a pot hole or go up a driveway at a angle, led me to raise it back to stock height, and go the white wall on Raders theme. There is a 5th spare, just not pictured..... The interior is a heavy duty tweed through out, with matching door panels. Has a kick ass sound system, with big amps and subs and the works, deck is custom fit in the locking glove box. Top is a tan Stay fast canvas with matching boot, and cloth headliner, all very nicely done (best I have ever seen in fact) Motor is a 1915cc extremely balanced and tuned unit, sporting a 120 cam, C.B. straight cut gears, and a set of perfectly tuned Dellortos 40's. The exhaust is a ceramic coated merged header with a matching ceramic coated Fat Bob muffler set up. Motor is full flowed with a secondary 96 pass oil cooler, with a attached fan on a (under the dash switch) Chrome VDO oil temp and pressure gauges are in the glove box so you can keep a eye on things!! As you can see the motor is chromed out so things run a bit warmer, but one flick of the switch and it will cool right down to 160/170 deg. Wife wants to sell it to put the money into our rental house, not my choice but it's hers to sell. The tow hitch shown in the pictures is NOT included in the sale, that was sold last summer..... Also can bee seen on thesamba under early convertibles. ....thanks for looking!!

I forgot to mention, that this vert is from nice dry Southern California, and has been in the Northwest for about 3 years now. And has always been in a heated garage or shop covered with a car cover, and up on a 4 post storage rack, nice and dry and out of harms way, and only driven on summer sunny days. It was bought off of old bugs dot com, and shipped up here. I did talk to the builder/owner of the vert before I bought it, and got the run down on it, and alot of the info on it and it's build is in the VolksWorld artical as well...... Will ship World Wide, but Buyer is responsible for shipping cost and fees, but I will help, with my time and labor in dealing with shippers, if need be. ..... I can also put it back to the way it once was, lowered with Polished EMPI 5 spokes 135's and 165's If the perspective buyer wants it in that configuration?? Nothing but a turn of a few wrenches!! But you only get 1 set of wheels and tires....your choice of how you want it set up!!. .....scott

P.S. if you want it for $5,000 less I'll install a Chromed out all new D.P. 1600cc motor instead of the 1915cc balanced and blueprinted motor it has now .....YOUR CHOICE!!
