The VW Beetle Gets a Makeover: From Beloved Bug to Head-Turning Sphere and Cube
The Volkswagen Beetle, that iconic car with a silhouette instantly recognizable by anyone, has rolled through history collecting a trail of admirers, nicknames (remember "Herbie"?) and, well, miles driven. But Indonesian artist Ichwan Noor isn't content with just admiring this automotive classic. He likes to push the boundaries – and sometimes, the bodywork.ALSO READ: Short Story of the Beetle
Noor's latest project? Taking a beloved Beetle and transforming it into a flawless sphere. You have to see it to believe it! The entire car's been reshaped to such an extent that even the taillights curve seamlessly into the smooth sphere.
Hold on to your hubcaps, because this spherical Beetle isn't Noor's first foray into Beetle reshaping. Back in 2011, he took the complete opposite approach, transforming a Beetle into a perfect cube. Yes, you read that right – a boxy Beetle!
Whether spherical or cubic, one thing's for sure: Noor's creations are guaranteed to make you do a double-take. Who knew this classic car could undergo such a dramatic shape-shift? With Noor's artistic touch, the humble Beetle becomes anything but ordinary.
